FireQual is the specialist awarding organisation for the fire safety sector, delivering nationally recognised qualifications regulated by Ofqual and Qualifications Scotland Accreditation.
We exist to help build a more competent, professional and trusted fire safety workforce. Developed in partnership with established fire safety experts, our qualifications reflect the latest standards, emerging challenges and real-world requirements of the sector. Regulated Qualifications
FireQual qualifications are recognised across the United Kingdom, giving employers confidence in the knowledge and competence they represent, regardless of where they are achieved. Although Scotland and the rest of the UK use different qualification frameworks, equivalent levels are recognised across the UK.
For example, SCQF Level 6 (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) is equivalent to RQF Level 3 (Regulated Qualification Framework) in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

FireQual Qualification Delivery
FireQual qualifications are delivered exclusively through our network of Approved Training Centres – we do not provide any training directly. We work closely with these centres to develop and deliver the educational content that prepares candidates for FireQual assessments.
By working with specialist training providers, we help ensure candidates receive high-quality, relevant training from organisations with the right expertise.

Recognised Training Programmes
Not every area of fire safety requires a regulated qualification, but that doesn’t make training any less important. That’s where FireQual Recognised Training Programmes (RTPs) come in, providing a trusted route to professional development where specialist knowledge, skills and competence are essential, but a formal qualification may not be necessary.
Through our RTPs, FireQual recognises high-quality training programmes that support best practice and professional standards across the fire safety sector, helping candidates and employers identify training they can trust.
