Ofqual, the regulator of qualifications, exams and assessments in England, have launched their online consultation in partnership with the Department for Education on proposals for the awarding of qualifications in Summer 2021.

The consultation looks at how GCSE, AS and A levels will be awarded this summer and alternative arrangements for vocational and technical qualifications.

Ofqual and the Department are looking to hear the views and thoughts of all who have an interest in the outcome of this consultation whether a student, parent, teacher, college, training provider or employer.

Key to the proposals is maintaining the validity and fairness in the awarding of qualifications whilst trying to foresee and take account of the challenges faced by those undertaking qualifications throughout these difficult times.
