FireQual Award for Fire Door Installers (Timber)
This qualification is intended to provide individuals with knowledge of the importance of the safe installation of fire doors and the associated legal, regulatory, and professional standards that govern the appropriate methods of installation. It also requires candidates to demonstrate that they are able to correctly install a fire door in line with the legal, regulatory, and professional standards
Individuals undertaking this qualification do not need to have prior knowledge or experience of fire door installation but must have access to the necessary environment, tools and materials to allow them to successfully complete the assessments as set out within the individual unit details later in this document.

| Candidate Entry Requirements | There are no pre-requisite entry requirements for registration and completion of this qualification. However, candidates should be proficient in core skills literacy, numeracy, and communication. Candidates must have access to the relevant environment, tools and materials to allow them to successfully complete the assessments as detailed later in this document. |
| Delivery Staff Requirements | Those wishing to deliver, assess or internally quality assure the qualification should hold sufficient knowledge of the subject matters covered within the qualification and demonstrate that they have undertaken continuous professional development to ensure their knowledge is kept up to date. Sufficient knowledge should be demonstrated by individuals having been timber-based fire door installers or related industry for a minimum of two years. |
