This qualification is intended to provide individuals with knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace, how fire risk is controlled in the workplace, the principles and practice of fire safety management at work and the role of the nominated fire marshal.
Individuals undertaking this qualification do not need to have prior knowledge or experience of fire safety or acting in the role of fire marshal. It will support those wishing to develop their general knowledge and/or those looking to take on the role of fire marshal within their workplace.
