This entitles individuals to gain certification for completion of a programme of learning separate to the FireQual regulated qualification offering.
Recognised Programmes exist where there is a requirement or it is seen as best practice to undertake a programme of learning to carry out a role but where there is no requirement or the subject is not appropriate for a regulated qualification or where there is no regulated qualification offering currently provided by FireQual.
The programme is focussed on generating a foundation of knowledge for graduates future careers, to develop relevant skills and behaviours to become a consultant, expand technical experience in all disciplines, along with developing an understanding of the overall business and corporate services.
The programme is intended to enable Graduates to achieve EngTech Interim CEng with the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and create foundation to work towards Chartership. Additionally, they will obtain MSc/MEng in Fire Safety Engineering (or similar qualification) if they have not already.
The course is aimed at new entrants to the industry, preferably with a university degree in a STEM subject.
